Delete the existing Bluetooth pairing from all devices
Remove your phone from the Bluetooth Phones tab of the BluePhoneElite preferences.
Remove your phone from the Bluetooth tab of the OS X System Preferences.
Remove your computer from the Bluetooth device list on your phone.
Run the Bluetooth Phone Setup Assistant
Launch BluePhoneElite if it is not already running. The Bluetooth Phone Setup Assistant will open on launch if there are no phones in the BluePhoneElite preferences.
To open the Bluetooth Phone Setup Assistant manually, click the + button in using Bluetooth Phones tab of the preferences.
The Bluetooth Phone Setup Assistant will initiate a pairing with your phone. However, some phones behave best when they initiate the Bluetooth pairing.
If you are having problems setting up Hands-Free, try initiating the pairing from your phone's Bluetooth settings and completing the pairing before selecting your phone in the Bluetooth Phone Setup Assistant.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Both devices will ask for a PIN; enter any number as long as it is the same on both.
Enable any option your phone offers to use your computer as a Hands-Free device.
Do NOT enable any option your computer offers to use your phone as a headset.
Add your phone to BluePhoneElite using the Bluetooth Phones tab of the preferences.
Update the device descriptions.
Update the device descriptions file and repeat the device setup.
Manually select platform.
If the Bluetooth Phone Setup Assistant is unable to identify your phone, select your device platform from the list and click Continue.If the Bluetooth Phone Setup Assistant does not offer to install BPEnabler and does not show this dialog, contact customer support.
Phone's date is incorrect.
Verify that the phone's clock is set correctly.
Phone does not allow unsigned programs.
There should be a setting on your phone to enable installation of programs with different types of signing certificates.
This option is typically under Menu > Tools > Settings > Security settings > Certificate management
On some Nokia models you need to go to Menu >Tools > App Manager > Options > Settings
Change any Software Installation setting from Signed Only to All. The names of these options may be different on your phone.
Change the Online Certification setting to OFF. This option only applies to some phones.
Phone is "application locked".
If your mobile service provider has "application locked" your phone, you will only be able to install programs approved by your service provider.
